Ipalamwa, Africa #SoMe

Justin Brehm • August 30, 2021

As a club, we had the opportunity to send and donate some soccer balls to a fantastic program. Our own Janie (09 Girls Academy DPL) and her mother, Anne spent two weeks in Ipalamwa, Tanzania, with a nonprofit called Global Volunteers. Amazing program!

Apparently, "When the real soccer balls arrived, it was like Taylor Swift making an appearance. Absolutely precious. We made over 200 kids incredibly happy." The kids in the village would come to find Janie every day and ask, "Janie! Janie! Futball?" It was adorable!

Thank you for sharing this story, and we love seeing how we can impact a community from so far away.
