Rec. Plus History
The Rec Plus concept was initially introduced in 1993 when competitive soccer was no longer available at U10. The program started with 45 players and has grown to over 300 participants. Fall 2001 saw the beginning of the U9 Rec Plus program. Players registering with LSC could enter individually or as part of a team. LSC staff coaches would periodically train teams throughout the season. Teams were coached by parent volunteers. Recently the club’s commitment to player development has evolved into training sessions focusing on individual player skills and goalkeeper training.
The evolution of the Rec Plus program continues……..
