Rec. Plus History:

The Rec Plus concept was initially introduced in 1993 when competitive soccer was no longer available at U10. The program started with 45 players and has grown to over 300 participant. Fall 2001 saw the beginning of the U9 Rec Plus program. Players registering with LSC could enter individually or as part of a team. LSC staff coaches would periodically train teams throughout the season. Teams were coached by parent volunteers. Recently the club’s commitment to player development has evolved into training sessions focusing on individual player skills and goalkeeper training.

The evolution of the Rec Plus program continues……..

Rec. Plus Program Overview:

Colorado Academy offers the Rec. Plus Program at the U-9 & U-10 ages. Rec. Plus is a two year program designed for the player who desires a higher level of training and play. Players, regardless of their ability level, who are committed to becoming a better soccer player are a perfect fit for this program. The goal of Colorado United is to create a fun and passionate environment to help each player along their soccer playing experience. The program offers a more challenging and structured environment to develop a better understanding of the game and improve each players fundamental technical skills. This is NOT a competitive or advanced league, but is a more progressive division that requires more of the players while focusing on their skills in a fun and enthusiastic environment.

***All U-9/U-10 Rec. Plus players will have the opportunity to practice, play games and socialize with each other at the same location under the professional guidance of the LSC staff.
